1. Scope
This policy applies to YouTube Uploader Local, a private desktop utility operated by its owner. The utility uploads owner-selected MP4 files to the owner's YouTube channel and monitors their upload and processing status. This public website only explains the utility and does not provide a hosted upload service.
2. Google user data processed
After the owner authorizes the utility through Google OAuth, the utility may process:
- basic identity for the authenticated YouTube channel, such as channel ID and channel name;
- video files and metadata selected by the owner for upload;
- YouTube video identifiers, URLs, visibility, upload state, and processing status; and
- OAuth credentials required to maintain authorized access.
3. How data is used
Google user data is used only to authenticate the owner, upload videos requested by the owner, verify the destination channel, monitor video status, avoid duplicate submissions, and maintain a local mapping between source files and YouTube videos. It is not used for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or any unrelated purpose.
4. Storage and security
The utility runs on the owner's Mac. OAuth refresh credentials are stored in macOS Keychain. Queue state, local file references, and YouTube video mappings are stored in local application databases. The informational website does not use cookies, analytics, account registration, or server-side databases.
5. Sharing and disclosure
The utility sends data to Google and YouTube only as needed to perform the authorized upload workflow. It does not sell Google user data. It does not share Google user data with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties. Data may be disclosed only when required by law or necessary to protect the security of the utility and its owner.
6. Retention and deletion
Local credentials and job records remain on the owner's device until the owner revokes access, removes the configured account, or deletes the local application data. Videos uploaded to YouTube remain under the owner's YouTube account controls. The owner may revoke the utility's Google access at any time from Google Account permissions.
7. Google API Services policy
YouTube Uploader Local's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
8. Your controls
The owner can stop the utility, revoke Google authorization, delete local credentials and records, or delete uploaded videos using YouTube Studio. Revoking authorization prevents future API access but does not automatically delete videos already uploaded to YouTube.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated when the utility's behavior or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest version.
10. Contact
For privacy questions, contact the application owner using the developer contact address shown on the Google OAuth consent screen for YouTube Uploader Local.
